Kurikara Fudo Temple, which is well known for Homa (burning small pieces of wood on the altar to invoke divine help), is located in the Kurikara Pass straddling the border between Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures. The consecrated fire is believed to have a powerful cleansing effect spiritually and psychologically.
